Rainy Day Activities

Has rainy or snowy weather got you looking for some indoor fun? We’ve got just the thing to keep that yucky-weather boredom at bay! In our Children’s Room, you can:

Childrens Learning GamesPlay with so many toys! Make a pretend meal in our play kitchen, put on a puppet show, build a miniature city on our block table, or go for a make-believe sail in our boat.

Attend a program! In the Children’s Room, we have programs almost daily that appeal to a wide variety of ages. Come to a Storytime, get that energy out at Move & Groove, put together a unique creation at Lego Club, make something amazing at Tinker Time, or bring out your inner artist at one of our craft programs.

Use one of our kits in the library! We have kits available for check-out, but you can use them in the library too! Learn about animal tracks, rocks and minerals, force and motion, and much more!

Put together a puzzle or play a game! You’ll find lots of options on our game shelf.

Color a picture. We always have coloring pages out for those who just want a nice, quiet, relaxing activity!

Sit and read, of course! Kids 12 and under and their caregivers will find lots of comfy spots to settle in with a good book!

Take a walk around the library. Want to check out the rest of the building? It’s beautiful, and there’s almost always a new display on the upper level. Take yourself on a little tour of the library and find some things you’ve never noticed before!
